Ping Pong Circulate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting formation<\/strong> &#8211; Quarter Tag.<\/p>\n<p>The movement starts and ends in a Quarter Tag formation. Each dancer Circulates, or moves forward one position along the path shown in Figure 1. The movement may also be called when there is a left-hand wave in the center. In this case, the path circulated along is as shown in Figure 2.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that the Circulate paths are independent of each other. Therefore, it is possible for only those on the outside path (dancers numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 in Figures 1 &amp; 2) to Ping Pong Circulate or only those on the inside path (dancers numbered 5, 6, 7, &amp; 8 in Figures 1 &amp; 2) to Ping Pong Circulate.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2341 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/definition.nanninga.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Acrobat_ijIUHKOzvG.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"790\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/definition.nanninga.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Acrobat_ijIUHKOzvG.png 790w, https:\/\/definition.nanninga.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Acrobat_ijIUHKOzvG-300x183.png 300w, https:\/\/definition.nanninga.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Acrobat_ijIUHKOzvG-768x469.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 790px) 100vw, 790px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"styling\"><strong>STYLING<\/strong>: Styling is the same as previously described for the basics pass thru and partner trade. Dancers in center use basic ocean wave styling. Outside dancers join hands in couple handhold.<\/p>\n<p class=\"timing\"><strong>Timing:<\/strong> 6<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><b><span style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: #0066b3;\">ARC Decisions<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: #ff0000;\">(November 2000) <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: #0066b3;\">Q: Would it be proper to call &#8220;Ping Pong Circulate&#8221; from a formation that would be created from a static square and have the heads step to a wave? <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: #0066b3;\">A: NO. The Burleson Encyclopedia #2854 defines this exact action as &#8220;Ping Pong Trade&#8221; therefore it should not be called &#8220;Ping Pong Circulate.&#8221; By definition Ping Pong Circulate starts and ends in a quarter tag formation, therefore the questionable usage should cease immediately! <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: #ff0000;\">(April 2002) <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: #0066b3;\">Q: Is it acceptable to call &#8220;Left Ping Pong Circulate&#8221; from a &#8220;Left 1\/4 Tag&#8221; formation and expect all execution of the movement to be left handed? <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: #0066b3;\">A: No. It is not necessary to say &#8220;Left&#8221; however, callers may wish to use a term like &#8220;It&#8217;s A Lefty&#8221; as helpful words for dancers that are un-familiar with this application. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: #ff0000;\">(July\/August 2005) <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: #0066b3;\">Q: The following call was used from a Quarter Tag formation; &#8220;Ping Pong Circulate 1 \u00bd&#8221; and the caller expected the dancers to end in parallel waves. Proper or Improper? <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: #0066b3;\">A: Improper. This call has been taught incorrectly by many callers in the past. It should NOT be fractionalized!!
